No. Microsoft's shared responsibility model means they protect the availability of the Microsoft 365 platform, not the data within it. Accidental deletion (by users or administrators), ransomware, malicious insiders, and retention policy errors can all result in permanent, unrecoverable data loss without an independent backup.

Our solution covers Exchange Online (email, calendars, contacts), SharePoint sites and document libraries, OneDrive accounts, and Microsoft Teams channels and chats. All workloads are covered under a single subscription.

We retain 365 days of backup data by default. This means you can restore data from any point within the last year, whether individual emails, files, or entire mailboxes. Extended retention is available if required.

All backup data is stored in Microsoft Azure using immutable storage, so it cannot be modified or deleted even by an attacker with admin credentials. Data is geo-redundant across two UK Azure regions.

Most restores complete in under 10 minutes. Individual item restores (a single email or file) are near-instant. Full mailbox or site restores may take longer depending on data volume.
